Prism allows users to create and administer tests over the Internet.
The software used for the Prism system uses Java technology, which is both a programming language and a platform. This makes it possible to run the Prism system on any computing platform operating Windows, Mac OS, or Linux as long as that system has Java installed.
The Prism system installs automatically with one click from a Web browser. (Once you have made the initial installation, a Web browser is no longer required to run Prism.)
All test items and all test data reside securely (server-side) in Lidget Green's datacenter! No information pertaining to items or test data will ever reside on the test taker's machine. Prism is an enterprise application running on the industrial-strength Java EE 5 platform in a secure data facility in Los Angeles. Prism includes two lightweight Java SE 5 client applications: 1) The secure Test Delivery engine 2) The Test Administration tool. Server-side: Solaris 10, Apache 2 (load balancer), Tomcat 6 (running Prism Java EE 5), and MySQL 5.
